Travelling & Arriving

Each character is introduced to the audience by how wealthy they are and what type of person they are. The cars show what status each character has and how rich or poor their families are. 

This girl arrives to school in a BMW which must of been extremely expensive in those days which indicates that she has a wealthy family. Her father is smiling knowing that she will learn from her mistake as she seems to be annoyed at the fact that she's at school on Saturday.

 The geek arrives in a cheap red car which shows us that he has a poor family.

 The jock arrives in a truck which indicates that his father isn't poor but also isn't rich. He is middle classed. His father tells him to be a man and he looks like a strict person which gets the Jock into line with his sports. 

The girl arrives in a stylish car which I cannot tell if it is expensive or not. Im assuming she is also living in a middle classed family or maybe jus above middle class. The car drives off as soon as she gets off which may be because her parents don't like her?

Th actually rebel arrives to school by foot. His parents are not dropping him off. This may be suggesting that he has been to detention so many times that his parents are fed up now and they just let him get on with what he is doing. He may not have a close relationship with his parents.
