Breakfast club shot by shot remake sound plan
Today in about half an hour, we will be making the sound for our shot by shot remake of The Breakfast Club, so we may as well or at least have some thought about the sound.
we did some research... on YouTube and found the music from the intro.
Thankfully we have a GCSE in music where we learned about disco music, therefore we know how to make a basic disco beat.
As for the narration one method would be to make a video and convert it to sound or see if there is a mic available but the internal mic in our macs will probably pick up a lot of background sound. therefore we will require a quiet room, or a studio, as well as a sound muffler for the mic so it does not pick up any other sounds such as clothes rustling.

In Most teen movies....
Here are some film opening and why I fell they are effective
School Of Rock
This opening completely uses the rock music in the background to set the scene. So that the audience can realise they are at a band concert before it become completely obvious. The music is basically used as a way of easing the audience into the film.
Resident evil: Afterlife
we feel this opening is one of the most effective we have seen. The back-ground club beat has a cynical, eerie sound to it and combined with the mystery of not seeing the characters face. This film is clearly a thriller, again the music intro really helped to define the film.
An education
An education is a coming of age film where a girl falls in love with a playboy almost twice her age. What is interesting about this film is the fact that it was actually filmed in 2009, which is not obvious from the 60's rock 'n' roll that you get from the intro. The credits also look underdone and with TV static effects. This overall communicates the era that the film is based in, clearly.
A large difference between the film shown above to my remake is the way they rely on sound. My shot by shot remake will not require the music to set the scene as there are already plenty of establishing shots. However, they do give me ideas like syncing edits with music and using different climaxes of the song with something on screen. But, a common danger is to sync the music too much, the clip will seem too much like a music video.
