Filming the First Flashback

When planning our first flashback we imagined is as a tracking shot, tracking away from the fight to express isolation and helplessness as the background covers more and more of the screen. Since we don't have professional tracking rails, to do this we decided to have one person sitting on a skateboard holding the camera, while another person pulls him back. here is the result.

This however proved to be a bad idea due to the ground the skateboard was being pulled on was to rough which meant that the shot was not smooth enough for use in the final movie. therefore we decided to try walking backwards while holding the fig-rig to create this effect, in hope that it would be smoother.

This did not seem to benefit the quality, therefore we decided to simply keep the camera still, and on a tripod, and that was the clip used in the finished movie.
